Either way, Genshin Impact is only a 15GB download, so it won't take too long if you manage to get it higher than 1MB/s. It seems completely random: Sometimes the download would be much worse, other times it'd pick up speed. If you don't, keep trying to pause or exit the download a few more times. Again, you won't lose any download progress, but there's a good chance you'll see slightly improved speeds. If that doesn't work, you can also try exiting the launcher entirely and restarting it. Set the value as per your Internet bandwidth. 0 means no throttling while any other value specified will be in KB/s. Then, enable the option of Throttle Downloads. That's still awful, but it shaved my download down to just two hours, which is much more tolerable. Here is how: Log in to Epic Games Launcher and click on Settings. Not that my internet is that slow, but my network at home is all Wifi and there is no way i can stream a movie in another room while downloading a game or two. I was stuck looking at a 10-hour download going at a miserable 0.3MB/s, but after pausing and resuming the download a few times I was able to get up to 1.7MB/s. Like Reply Craig Boyer 2 years ago Was thinking it would be great if I could throttle downloads too. You won't lose any progress, but a lot of players are reporting that it significantly improved their speed-and it worked for me and another editor, too. Fortunately, there's a simple fix: try pausing the download via the launcher and resuming it.
